~ spirit / from the dinner table to the studio
Community work/care are central to both my studio and life practice. As my artmaking continues to develop and root itself, it becomes clearer how deeply interconnected it is to all other parts of my life--spiritual, interpersonal, emotional. For me there is no such thing as a “personal” practice. I am constantly sharing / in conversation with / building alongside others and these rhythms I see reflected directly in my work. There is magic in the space where perspectives overlap and the friction that inevitably comes along with group work becomes an accountability practice--what are we seeing in others that we are afraid of or admire in ourselves?
Listed projects are ongoing either in practice or in spirit.
