Suldano Abdiruhman is an interdisciplinary artist from Baltimore, MD, currently based in Philadelphia, PA. Her work aims to analyze verbal and non-verbal communication systems, the development of spoken language, and the cross-cultural use of textiles as a form of communication, meditation, protection and marker of time. It is a process-based practice rooted in empathy, experimentation, and curiosity about the mystical. She utilizes traditional textile methods such as weaving and natural dye, as well as installation, drawing and sculpture. 



Her work has been shown across the United States at form & concept gallery in Santa Fe, NM, Spillway Collective and Vox Populi in Philadelphia, PA, Platform Gallery and Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore, MD among others.
